As an Indian girl growing up in a small island in the Caribbean, I have had the privilege to be exposed to two quite different ways of life. I was raised in a conservative Hindu home under the 5 human values of Truth, Righteous Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-Violence. These principles have set the foundation for my modus operandi.
Living in a ‘developing’ country, presents numerous opportunities to create growth and sustainability. Our generation is sculpting the way the world will exist tomorrow and The Global Shapers has curated a group of value based enablers, which I would like to be a part of. I strongly believe that every human should have a roof over their head and means by which they can create a living. This unfortunately is not as yet the world we live in and I am hopeful that I can assist in changing that. There are also a lot of untapped solar energy opportunities in Barbados; another area I would like dive into with the Bridgetown Hub.
